CORPORATE MEMBERS

I. FOUNDATION FOR RECOVERY AND DISPOSAL COMPLIANCE

The International Electronics Recovery Coalition (IERC) implements and develops sustainable and economically viable electronics recovery programs. Our ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 compliant programs respond to newly adopted national e-Steward and R2 standards as required on a member by member basis. They also directly address the ongoing and serious issues of e-waste and its associated byproducts.

II. CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS

IERC provides standardized contractual agreements between corporations and recovery or disposal agents to help clarify obligations of both parties. Such agreements can be customized to fit the particular needs and concerns of the assignment. IERC’s process documents adapt accordingly to adopted standards as they develop. These policies and procedures between members are designed to ensure policy compliance and social responsibility of the recovery or disposal agent thereby limiting corporate Chain of Custody liability issues.

III. NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

IERC partners with approved non-profit, charitable organizations that work within the scope of the electronics industry. This alliance provides our corporate members the options to donate goods to member charities, which can then be repurposed to benefit the charity. Corporate donors in turn receive appropriate receipts for tax purposes.

IV. RECOVERY AND DISPOSAL AGENTS

IERC actively seeks new memberships from organizations that have consistently demonstrated commitment to adopting and adhering to a choice of established standards. By doing so, we are able to provide corporations with a wide and diverse range of trusted recovery and disposal agents best suited to their needs on a case by case basis.

VI. PARTICIPATION IN FUTURE LEGISLATION

IERC membership will help guide current and future federal and state legislation in a positive direction. Our members help unify an industry under a common social and environmental vision. Together, we compliment e-Steward and R2 standards and their continuing development of standards to address the growing e-waste problem.
